About Our Community
The West Portuguese Bend Community Association (WPBCA) has served the Community of Abalone Cove since 1949. Located on the ocean side of Palos Verdes Drive South in Rancho Palos Verdes, our community spans 93 homes across five streets: Sea Cove Drive, Packet Road, Barkentine Road, Clipper Road, and Peppertree Drive.
Our Assets
The community holds two private ocean access easements from Sea Cove Drive to the Pacific Ocean — among the rarest private coastal access paths in Los Angeles County. Maintaining and protecting this access is a core responsibility of the Association.
Board of Directors
The WPBCA is governed by a five-member Board of Directors elected annually by the membership. Elections are held in January or February each year by secret written ballot.
